Thanks Silverhawk.
This weekend I started doing a little bodywork. Got both rear corners in primer and finished the cowl section also. I removed the air vent being its a roadster and replaced all the sheet metal on top of the cowl. Too much rust there to deal with so replacing it was a better idea.
Heres a couple of photos of the cowl section.

WOW!! That looks great!
Thanks Hawk!!:)
Finished up around the windshield frame and got my radiator support rods made and the inserts molded in on the firewall. Also started to weld up grind some unwanted holes.

Nice. It looks like it was made originally that way. Great job.
Thanks stovens, thats the look I was shooting for.
Thaat is looking cool Crazyrat. the windscreen finish is prefect but the overall panelwork is outstanding. You have some very lucky grand kids..
Thank you Whiplash23T.
You know I started this build wanting to build a rusty rat rod but the more I do to it the more I have to repair the rust spots and put some paint on it. I guess thats the old bodyman in me from way back, just cant seem to shake it...
I started stripping the doors yesterday and getting them ready for a skim coat of filler. I will post some more pics as I progress along with them.
I'm the one thats lucky, lucky to have my grdkids and go figure, they kinda love me :D

I got the drivers side firewall in primer this weekend. Wish I had a picture before I started on it but I am posting one from the passengers side, its looks the same. The filler is only 1/8" deep over the weld seams and barely a skim coat on the rest. Needs some more blocking and about 5 more coats of primer before paint. Anyway this was my weekend project.
Larry
Got a little more done in the last couple of weeks, Here's few more photos.

Looking really good, Larry!
Hi Larry, old Henry Ford is propably looking down on you and muttering something like " Damn, why didn't I think of making roadster pickups for that year !!!" Been an old panelbeater myself I understand what you are saying about the body, just natural to want it prefect eh, and you do want to have fun driving it before the grandkids get to have their fun with it.;););)
Heh, heh. Another one sees the light. :LOL:Quote:
