Since the term rat rodded is so broad (and vague) can you be a little more specific as to what it is you are looking for?Quote:

In any matter any pics would be very much appriciated!! Thank.
If you want to get ideas:
I went to Google, typed in "chopped top 55" (then 56, then 57). I clicked IMAGES at the top of the screen, and got these.
You could try "50s custom" or "lead sled", or what ever else you can think of.
I have seen many of the 55-56-57 cars chopped, over the last 50 years, but not much in recent times. You will have to go back in history to find them. You will find a few 4 doors done, too.
Be sure to pay attention to the amount of the chop, or you can cut up some pictures, and figure out how much difference 2 inches, 4 inches, 6 inches, or whatever amount you decide on, will make.

I found this by googling "56 buick chopped"
Wow! I never have used the image search on google. Thanks
Those cars are fn beautiful. I am drooling over that chopped top 56 buick. That car is amazing. Thanks a million!! :3dSMILE:
But hardly "Rat Rodded".............I wish that term would dry up and blow away.Quote:

Maybe, I am just getting too old and miserable...............I should be happy I guess that hotrodding is carrying on, even in this manner.

Better Rat Rod than Rice.................
Another possible source, for pictures of chopped '50s models, would be the Kustom Kemps Of America, or KKOA. It's a national club for custom cars.
That buick is awesome!:D :D
Yeah the pics of those cars weren't exactly what I was looking for but I have to admit that the buick is beautiful, rat rod or not.
Just trying to help with the "chopped top" pictures.Quote:

If you want a picture of a 1956 Buick, 4-door, flat black, and built in the recent Rat Rod style, you will probably just have to build it, and take the first picture of that exact combination, yourself! :-)
Yeah that is true. Not saying that I don't appriciate that effort at all.
I can't believe that you actually found one of a chopped four door either.
Especially a buick! What is your alls guess on how much that is chopped? Not much I don't think. One inch? Two Inches?
You are right. I think that I will just have to build a flat painted Buick to see what it looks like. LOL I can't wait!!
Love that 53 Chevy! Measuring my '54, I see why they are one of the easiest chops of the '50's cars. The windshield posts and the rear posts are at the same angle, making it unnecessary to stretch the top. Just whack it, slide it down and ahead a bit, and weld it back on. Well, you have to lean the posts a bit, but no big deal.
