I need a quick guesstimate! Length of motor?

I am on the verge of cutting the frame of the F-1. I have the suspension and cab mounting about figured out, but I don't have a drive train yet. Could somebody give me a safe (estimate high so I have room) length for a SBF motor measured from the firewall to the front of the pulleys? There will be no hood or fenders so I can put the motor wherever I want, but I need to make sure I have enough length in the frame to fit it in.
    Thanks for an odd request,
    CHAZ

Chaz: I think about 26 inches, but I will measure tonight and get you a better measurement.

Small block Ford (302) and an auto (C6?). I will probably pull the drivetrain from a old crown vic.

I want to get something that runs so I know that I don't have to do a whole lot when I get it in. I said a crown vic because they are selling for nothing, I just haven't found a good donor yet. I would rather have a carb engine to start, but I can switch a throtle body over if I have to.
