is it impossible?
hey, im new here, so bear with me....
anyway, i have a 1984 oldsmobile cutlass frame and suspention laying around, and i was wondering if there was any way to make a rod out of it. im looking for a t bucket to put onto it, but does anyone know if i could even use this frame for anything? i had a plan but if it doesnt work i guess ill look for another frame.
Thanks, Mark

no. way to wide, way to long. an S10 frame would be to wide and look at how narrow they are, 40"

A passenger car frame like that is way too large, and way to gnarly looking for a T-bucket.

thats what i was assuming, what is typically used in these kind of things

Welcome to the forum. Yep, sorry to rain on your plans, but the guys are right. This frame is absolutely not the one you want to use for a T. It would look more like an off road vehicle than a rod.
Get yourself a Total Performance catalog, and one from Speedway. These will show you what a correct T bucket should look like and be made of.
