Haven't seen this thread for awhile. :) I was down in Vegas last year at The Strip and saw a few Rats that I think would fit in here.

And another one.
Just one more.:)
I like the cars you don't have to worry about getting scrached up while you drive it I'm building a old hot rod or rat rod what ever you want to call it now I had a 82 cutlass that was pro streeted with a nice paint job I did't drive it much we go to good guys every year and see alot of diff cars cars are cars I love them all paint or no paint and brakes or no brakes..:3dSMILE:
Well as the proud owner of two basket cases I think it's safe to say there is room for all in the hotrodding hobby. I've seen 6 figure customs that look really bad and some "RATs" that were really unsafe but most are a lot of fun to look at! The rockabillies have the same right to have fun as do the trailer queens. At a show or meet if I don,t like what I see I walk on. Hotrodding is a great hobby and nothing can hurt it but fighting about who fits in what class. Just have fun and don't hurt anyone!
Here's a few from the basement at Cobo Hall last weekend.
Jimmy Shine's car is in there and some other interesting stuff. Some are almost cartoonish and some had well engineered chassis with air ride. The T roadster with all the pipes on the right side has a 1948 Olds straight 8. The 32 highboy is a barn fresh find built in the 40s or early 50s. I'd like to know more of it's history. Love the pink hood. :p The 34 cabriolet is also an early 60s build with a 265 Chevy and what appears to be a 1957 Corvette Rochester injection.
Sorry that some of the pics are blurry but I was getting real tired by the time I got to the lower level. :whacked: I'm going to put all of my pics in an alblum and sharpen them then post a link, hopefully tomorrow.
Yes, that's real rustout in the bottom of those duece doors.

I thought I could thujmbnail them all in one post but I guess not so here goes. He cleans it with a Scotchbrite pad and WD40.

48 Olds straight 8. I'd love to hear this thing run.
39 coupe with early Olds ohv V8.
I think this is the truck the guy told me he drove 250 miles to the show.
A steel T. I thought they were all plastic.
I think this is a Buick OHV straight 8 in here.
