Here is the final position of the seat as bolted in and it is just below the top of the tack rail wood. Although the inside of the quarter panels are red from paint overspray there is room for the side arm rests but they intrude into the space that will be covered by the inner panels so I have taken them off. Overall it seems to me that while I owe a lot to the pictures from C9X, his '30 cockpit is slightly lower and wider than the '29, so I am glad I could keep the seat belts, although the arm rests have to go. The narrow slot hole in the top of the quarter panel is for the tab that will hold the main top bow of a folding canvas top. I forgot to specify those tabs from Bebops, but I purchased a set from Brookville. They should be welded to the square tubing but I don't want to scorch the new paint so I am bolting them in and they seem rigid as held by stainless 1/4" capscrews.
