If you and I are anything alike your trip will cost much more than gas for a 400 mile road trip. I can never get out the door for less than about 200 bucks but then Xmas when I get to the shop.
I do understand hesitation to purchase over webb as I just had identity stolen and the paperwork was incredible and still comming in. I have a CC I now use for webb only and have a 250.00 limit on account by my choice. Was able to put different name combo than I use for all others. Still my name of course but not my typical signature with abbriviations changed a bit. I also learned you can request all other cards can have a password protection added to them. All the big companies allow this. It is a little hassle but far less than what I had to do because of fraud by some scumball.
Jeg's alerted me of a strange ship address and then offered to ship product to scumball if police would partisipate in arrest. Too my total surprise they (local cops) declined saying problem far to common and conviction rate was almost zip. Jeg's would have lost property for LONG time but was right there to help if I could convince cops. Was not able to get them involved. FBI was controling agency as it was internet and between states but only took a statement. They warned me not to confront people at address only 4 miles from my home. VERY FRUSTRATED but, but !!
Get a low limit card and move on as nothing else left to do.
