Still haven't been able to locate a reasonable early steel body. I haven't given up hope, but realize that it may take more drastic measures to take delivery on such a beast.

I still would like to find a decent early ford, chevy, or dodge coupe or sedan body (pre 1936) for around $1K or less. Cash, or I can also work a full or partial trade on my Honda silverwing. I'm still young and in the early part of my "career", so money does become an issue.

Now, being more drastic: If there is a coupe or sedan out there that is at a similar value, I would be willing to trade my 1957 Oldsmobile 98. The car has 80K orginal miles on it. It is a bonified street sleeper. The straight body is covered in the orginal color paint, amethyst and off-white. Has nearly all options: power windows, power antenna, power seats, power steering, power brakes, autotronic eye, etc, etc. Just no A/C. It is a 4 Door. Has the original interior.

Under this unsuspecting facade is a Fresh 1969 Olds 455 Rocket engine. It has been punched out to 461ci. Speed Pro pistons and rings, Edelbrock performer intake, edelbrock cam, edelbrock lifters, crane rockers, melling high volume oil pump. Crank was ground, had the heads resurfaced with a 3-angle valve job (C HEADS!), new valve springs, melling pushrods, Has a Holley Street Avenger 770cfm double pumper carb. Chrome valve covers, and air cleaner, The engine is Olds gold in color. about 60 miles total on the new engine.

Battery was relocated to the trunk, it has glass fender skirts for the rear. Steel wheels with the orginal chrome hubcaps, TH400 automatic tranny with a B&M shift kit installed. Has bias ply whitwalls with 97% tread left.

Car is probably worth in the range of $9500-11000. If someone has what I'm looking for and is interested in this car, email me for questions or pictures. Please also email me if you have a body for sale outright, like I was talking about above. I'm in Columbus, OH.

Thanks.
