does width matter?
I have access to a low mile one, 3.73 trac loc w/ disc brakes - $850, but shipping will hurt as i am in PA. It is from an exploder, so the i think the width is 59".
i want it but have not the $$ right now, and it may not be there next tax time when i need it.Chris

Thanks Screamer. The 8 inch I have now is only 56 inches wide, from a Maverick. I don't want to have to change wheels to make it fit. Those Explorer axles are a great deal if they fit your application.

yeah, forgot to mention bolt pattern - it probably veries too. the explorer are 4.5x5, the same as jeep wranglers, and w/i 1 inche in width, hence hteir popularity.
did read about the possible need to weld the tubes into the pumpkiin housing though - only held there with 3 'pins' and with some effort (rock crawling, racing, etc) can be rotated to bad ends.Chris

on small cars yes. but fat fender cars are pretty much the same in size and weight as the donor car. i found s10 brakes work great on fat fender and pickups. a deuce will just need manual brakes...
