Hey folks got a customer with a stock 6 cyl 3 on the tree 1955 Ford pickup. He wants me to do something so that he can run better than 55 on the highway.
I would guess best bet is to find an stock overdrive transmission, so If any one out there has one I would be interested in buying it.

How about something like a 5-speed from a mid 90's 4.2 liter F150? Should be plenty in the boneyards. I'm not very knowledgeable on Fords so I dont know if you could get that to bolt up to the straight six or not.
