Can someone please help me find a reasonably priced lincoln versailles rear end. The disc brake narrow ford 9in one. Posi would be nice. Cash in hand waiting and any help would be great.

These are getting hard to find. The '95 and up Ford Explorer 8.8" rears are a nice alternative. 31 spline axles, 3.55 or 3.73 gears w/posi from factory, disc brakes.....
Cheap too. I just bought one from an '01 for $250

SinistrV6 is right, they are getting to be very hard to find and pricey at that. They generally have pretty tall road gears and no traction lock. I have a couple, but think the shipping and cost of the unit would not be worth it to you.
I have to agree, the Ford Explorer would be much easier to find and a lot less costly.

Do you know the full lenghth of these rear ends? The reason I'm after a versailles is because it is the perfect length for the project I'm doing! If the 95 up rear is too big I can't use it. Also does anyone know if a 77 Granada rear is the same as I versialles? I heard it was and found one for a very good deal. Just don't wanna buy it till I get confirmation it is pretty much exactly the same.Originally posted by SinistrV6

So the 77 rear will work? It is a 9 inch rear then?? I'm new to this whole swap so all the info people could provide would be great! Only thing I heard is they usually won't have the disc brake setup like a versailles which the rear end I found doesn't. But I planned on new rear discs anyhow as the versailles ones are quite heavy and not as good as some others out there. Am I right? So go for the 77 rear end then right?? It's very cheap compared to the versailles qoutes I been getting. Like 300 dollars cheaper then most quotes and its right here in town. The rest I found required shipping from out of state. STREETS please help me out!Originally posted by Streets

Not sure if a Granada would be a 9''. If you are not going to use the lincoln brakes, why not just order a brand new housing built to the exact width you want it from Currie's or Moser???Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
