My kid needs a rebuildable 200 he can build to replace the 170 in his '63 Econoline. Anyone doing a V8 transplant and have one? SoCal area would be ideal, but can travel.

it would be easier to find a 250 cid ford 6 which is the family as the 144-250. the 240 is aa much bigger engine used in full size cars and trucks,i've swapped many 250s into fords that used the 144,170,200 engine it a bolt in.

In the old Econolines the doghouse is tight and the extra length and height of the 250 made me rule it out. This needs to be an engine we can build on the stand and do a straight swap over a weekend and have back on the road Monday morning.
