That's the bite in this whole thing - the shipping. I ran a quick UPS calculation for you (The guys in the brown vans). Looks like $385 (US) per head figuring a 42 pound aluminum. Ouch!

yes they did make those heads down here at tmt in toowomba but can only be bought from the usa. go figure?? anyways a good set of stockers would be fine as i,m not game to wack her together with the late model heads that i,ve got. its a shame i didnt have the funds or time to organise a container full of good secondhand bits from the usa as it only costs around $4000 landed in melbourne. thanks again darin

well thats to bad i could help you fill it i have some stuff like i said i did put the mark 5/6 heads the 14096801gm rect port heads on a mid 70s 454 that was out to 496 at the time i think i used the 1017 felpro or the marine gaskets at the time was a dual print out head gasket for the mark 4 and 5/6 water holes in the deck head gasket. i did get a marine mark 4 502 bow tie bock with the mark 5/6 gm6801 heads on it like i said it needs to be check you may get away with it but you will not the other way mark 5/6 block with the old mark 4 heads
