Okay, I've been able to get all new parts for the 10" brakes on the 8" Maverick rear end in the '36 except the e-brake hardware. What I need is the lever assembly (both sides) that is connected to the e-brake cable at one end and the trailing brake shoe on the other on the backing plate. Apparently the replacement parts folks don't make these parts. Anybody??
well uncle bob I have bad news for ya, I called 3 different palces & they tell me "NO GOT - NO CAN GET" BUT they said to try www.rareparts.com , dealer, or a boneyard..... now if ya can wait a little bit I'm going to the bone yard & I can see what I may find, but it wont be for a day or two, cause its coldddddddddddd here & very wet...........joe

I'm not in any particular big hurry as there are plenty of other assembly things I'm doing, probably won't get desperate for a month or so. I got the same response from my local parts guys. The wrecking yards are somewhat reluctant to sell off small parts as Ford 8 and 9" rears sell pretty well when complete.
What I'm hoping for here is someone who may have a junk housing with good brake parts and would be willing to part that out.
just thought of something, my 9inch r/r has 10in drums on it & I didnt have any hardware when i got it. so I went to the boneyard & guess what I found that will work...:3dSMILE: :3dSMILE: .................... 90's lincoln towncar has basicly the same stuff, the only thing I see that was different in the whole mess was the towncar shoe had one more hole. get everything, the only thing that WONT work are the drums, the centering hole is larger on the towncar. hope this helps ya..joe
I checked my parts pile this afternoon. I've got a pair, but unfortunatly their from an 8" with 9" drums, so I suspect they would be a little short.
Hey Bob I got a pair from a 65 Mustang that should work. I checked my Mustang catalog first and they sell every other brake part except that one. I looked through the trunk of my Mustang and found three of them. the fourth one must be in a different box. If not I won't be doing the brakes anyway till the snow melts and I can find more parts. Email your mailing address and I'll send them out.
