Help!!!
we just rolled our most prized car:CRY: , our 31 ford 5 window with a 454 McMaster motor, insurance is going to take care of it I hope and we're good friends with our body shop guy. But what we really need is a drivers side rear quarter panel and a top. We could always go out and buy a fiberglass one but who would want to do that, if anything just send and e-mail or a PM
Thanks

I know steel reproductions are made for the '30-'31's, but I don't know the company that makes them.

ya someone else said there was one out of Il somewhere. But the guy left the shop before I could ask for the adress. Long nights over seas makes you uncover things on the internet. Or atleast thats what he said lol
-
oh almost forgot to ask too, if anyone has 2 single barrel carbs, holly would be nice (cant remember if they were produced by holly:3dSMILE:) the carters on our 49 chevy are complete junk and really really really out of sinq. One carb is doing all the work and one is kinda sitting there so 3 cylindars are working awesome and the other 3 are weak. If anyone knows where I can get ahold of some let me know

Check out these guys, bought a few things from them, fairly good quality.

thanks dave, hmm think I have to get my father in here to decifer this lol

1 of the carbs on the chevy 6 should have no choke and the idle circut removed/ blocked off, if it is not, you will get this. no new carb is going to fit on the intake manifold without an adaptor. you could go to www.stoveboltengineco.com and get 2 of his 1-2bbl adaptor's and 2 of the Holley/ Webber 5200's he sells, he will be able to tell you what to do to them to get them to run on a dual carb setup. they work nice on Chevy 6's, that's why he sells them
-
ya but this straight 6 has an aftermarket Offy setup, we can go right to NAPA and order 2 but their like $150 or something for just one. We'll prob end up just buying them there but if I can find some in better condition for a cheaper price we'l get those
-
I know your str8 6 has an aftermarket intake, but the aftermarket intakes were designed to use the stock carbs which could ither be a rochester carb, or what you have, Carter W1's. is the idle circut removed from 1 of the carbs? if not, that's part of your problem. The Holley/Webber 5200's from langdon's are only like $89 each. a 1940 Holley might work, you would need to measure to be shure. the Ford Six crowd uses langdon's 1-2bbl adaptors and his H/W 5200's, and a 1940 Holley should also bolt up, a parts store should be able to tell.

ok (hmm wonder if eastcoast can get them) oh sorry thinking out loud, think our only prob is that the carbs have diff jets in them, think there is a 55 and a 65
-
get a carb sync tool from www.speedway.com, ajust the carbs until the tool reads the same for both carbs. the jet diffrences shouldn't make that much of a diffrence
-
ya we just got the new speedy's mag when we got the scoop in for the coupe before it rolled, was going to get some old 45's for the carbs and paint the insides red and stick em on the 49', think the sinqs are only like $20 aren't they?
