54 Parts!
I need some 54 Chevy trim (whatever you have that is in good shape with no scratches or pits (rust). 54 Pontiac trim that is below the rear window too (even though it is going on a 54 Chevy). Basically any 54 Chevy parts or Pontiac trim. I need a gas tank, any chromed parts like one piece bumpers, grill teeth, etc.
Thanks!

all trim is polished stainless steel on a '54 Chevy, most u will need 2 do is polish it up. www.chevsofthe40s.com has gas tanks, stainless, OEM and Polyurethane construction's available.

Thanks a lot Matt. And yes the stainless only needs to be polished... I mean rust and all on the bumpers really. My trim is in pretty nice shape besides the belair letters on the back fenders are missing and the points in the very back like this < are dented up beyond repair. I thought maybe someone on here might have some for a better price than Chevsofthe40s.com If I don't get any replies here within a week or so then I will go ahead and order from them. I need to use a tank to go inside of the trunk or such because underneath it's too close to the ground and such with a 5 inch drop.

buy the factory steel tank and section it shallower, or have a thinner tank made. a fuel cell is the only other thing i can think of.

I am going to look into a Mustang tank. I think I heard something about people with 50's Chevys using them. How is your project comming along by the way Matt?

A Falcon Tank might also work, the filler necks on both the Falcons and Mustangs come out the top of the tank and angle out to the 1/4 panal to the gas cap ( no filler door, on Falcon ), you could shorten the filler and bring the tank farther up in your trunk ( Both the Falcons and Mustangs have no trunk floor, the gas tank is the trunk floor, so you would need to cut the trunk pan out. where the tank would be ).
My '51 should be done this year, paint, interior and tires is all that is left really, other than running a new fuel line.

I have a brand new Tank's Inc gas tank for a 53-54 Chevy. It is baffled and has 3/8" fuel pick ups. I bought it hoping it would work for my project but it did not quite fit. I made the mistake of painting it, so I could not return it. You can see it here:

I have cut a couple inches off the tank side of the filler pipe, but other than that it is complete. I will let you have it for $175 plus shipping. PM me if you are interested. I can send pictures if you send me an email.
