mopar block wanted
I am looking for a slant 6, L head Straight Six or a 318 engine block. Looking for real cheap as it will be used only for mock up on my 49 plymouth. I am not sure which engine I will use for the finally of the car. So I am looking for all. Leaning for the L head (something different) or the 318 (common, more parts available.)1949 Plymouth Club Coupe Still in pieces.

I believe I saw an Chrysler L-head I6 in a truck at my local Pick-n-Pull. It was complete pan to carb. The yard was something like Salinas Auto Wreckers in Moss Landing California. We've got a forklift here at school with one, too. That isn't for sale.

Joker, if you can't locate one locally, check with John Eichanger in Aberdeen, SD. He has a bunch of stuff around, and could possibly know where and who has one a bit closer. Heck, he knows everybody up in that area and has been in the old car biz for years.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

When I said I had one in a forklift, I was implying that they were also used as industrial motors. Don't forget to check old industrial equipment for them as well.

I saw some 318s and 360s plus a 225 in the local classified advertiser here in Colorado Springs. I am somewhat interested in a 318 or 360 for my wife's 1971 Plymouth Duster. The phone number listed in the ad is (719)478-2296
I am too busy at present with my '53 Chev pickup project to work on the Duster. If you're interested, I could go over and look at the engines.

OzIf at first you don't succeed... skydiving probably isn't for you.
