dropped I-Beams
Have any of you guys used the dropped I-Beams on the old Ford (1971) pickups?? I've heard some scary things about them, just wondering if someone has personal experience with them, and which brand you used? My '71 sets so dang high I'm afraid I'd get a nosebleed from the altitude just driving it!!!! Don't really wand to plunk the big bucks in it for an IFS set up, guess I would if the horror stories about the dropped I-Beams are true, though. Thanks.

There aresome guys that have used them on the fordification forum. All about the 67-72 f100. If i remeber right there was pretty good feedbak regarding the subject. I will look for specifics when i get home. or type fordification into yahoo.

Dave, just a thought, it might be better from an engineering standpoint to Z the frame, keeping all the geometry OEM.

From what the manufacturers say, the geometry remains correct with only the spindle height being changed???? According to them, it is the same as putting the good Bell Tech spindles on a Camaro or anything else??? Does this seem right to you??? I dunno, as poor as the geometry is on a Twin I-Beam, maybe it just doesn't matter????
