Looking for a set of Ardun heads for a 8BA block.
The latest issue of Street Rodder (March 2005, p72) says they are still made in improved form by a Don Ferguson of Paramount Forge and he gives a site address as www.ardun.com, with the comment that they put out about 300 H.P. I dare not even think about the price of such beautiful exotica! Note the original heads produced only 175 H.P. on a stock block as shown on oogabooga:

and of course a properly prepared 8BA with aluminum flatheads and a Merc 4" crank can be set up for about 270 H.P. In my case the fact that I can get about 270 H.P. from a mild SBC 350 for about $1700 convinced me, but there is no denying the beauty of the Ardun engine. Good Luck!

Don I built a 53 merc flathead and as you say theres nothing like the beauty of Ardun engine.
Chevy37, you certainly can appreciate this. Just in case you don't have that Merc crank any more I have a 4" Merc cranks with stock rods and a flywheel in my shed. Bob parmenter says I should put it on ebay, but I would rather it goes to someone who appreciates it. I can send them to you if you pay the shipping for half the Speedway price of a new crank. I had the crank miked and it should clean up with a 0.010" grind. It has been stored vertically and thoroughly smeared with STP several years ago. Send me an e-mail if you are interested.
