Not advised for a vehicle that will be run at the drag strip. The rescue crew must have a quick, easy way to get into the vehicle to remove an unconscious driver with the vehicle on fire. Think about it.
.
I realize that, lots of rod guys like that look for show cars.
looks cool until you cant get in . also electric life sells cheap stuff.
Geez thanks, that was helpful. I tested these in the car and they worked fine, decide to go with actuators. Same basic kit as Autoloc. What was the problem with the shaved door kit you bought from Electric Life? What could go wrong, key fob, solenoids, and receiver. No different than car locks on cars for the last 25 years.
Got shaved doors on mine, love em! Plus it keeps the riff raft out at shows or otherwise.
I installed an emergency switch (hidden) incase I lock the keys in it (don't ask) and a cable pull (also hidden) incase the battery is dead. Never had any problems (knock on wood), other than user error.
I can't believe you won't post the location of your emergency switch on the World WIDE Web - - - - jeeze how stingy.:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:
Em, I think it's a button like this, mounted in the middle of the hood....
