Ford FE 390GT-(410 new parts needs a home)
1975 f150 very low miles factory 4bbl engine. D4 block. took out to refresh seals for wife to drive. cream puff of a truck. Wife got new car. son wants truck (not with 400hp FE). now have low miles gt engine for sale. with new thick flange headers, new oil pump, new comp cam & lifter kit. 500lift & 270 dur. new summit water pump, rings, did I mention no ring grove. new bearings, seals gaskets etc. Has non egr medium riser intake and will throw in working c-6. would put a new front seal in it. does have 2 broken bolts on top of exhaust port. rest are fine. new belts & hoses, new starter, freeze plugs, everything to install in f150 64 to 79. Valve cover says 390 engine class. yet pistons say 410. many factory strokers were put in by ford in these years. all standard no machine work nessecary. is all apart so you can see how sweet this is. Need fresh 300-6 and trans for son. 903-569-7335 east texas. over 1000 invested. will sell all list above for 600

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
