Y-block, Early Pontiac, SBC, blocks and motors

1958 Pontiac 370 bare block. It has been bored .060 over to accept pontiac 400 pistons. In fact. it will accept all pontiac 400 heads and internals (Except crank, without modification) if you want to go that route. The beauty of this block is that you can use the relatively lower cost pontiac 400 parts rather than shelling out the bucks for the hard to come by 287-early 389 parts. Not only that, but depending on the crank you use, it will be a direct drop in unit for 1955-1960 Pontiacs. That means is no tranny swap, no fabricating of motor mounts, no having to redo the exhaust, etc. This is about the easiest was to breath some power into your old pontiac without having to deal with a complete drivetrain swap. It could also be a pretty kickass mill between the rails of an early coupe or roadster.

The block has been bored and honed (will probably benefit from a quick dingleball treatment), has had new freeze plugs installed and cam bearings.

272 Y-block. It's only the bare block. It has been hot tanked, magnafluxed, bored and honed. Has been bored .030 over. One cyclinder has been resleaved. It has new freeze plugs and cam bearings. I have all the main caps aside from the aluminum one. They can be had aftermarket. I have a few other little goodies also that will go with it. No heads, intake, crank, etc. This is basically a good machined bare block that is ready to build up.

SBC 307 Motor. It came in my pop's '48 Ford coupe when he got it. He opted for a larger 355ci. One of the water hoses got pinched and it popped a freeze plug. We took it out and I cracked it open to check for any internal damage..... There was none. It was squeeky clean and looked like it was rebuilt less than 1000miles ago.

The cylinders were perfect with no scoring, no ridge at the top of the cylinder, turned smoothly etc. The pistons looked like brand new. It ran extremely well while in the car.

The casting numbers for the block are:3932371 The heads are: 3911032. This traces back to a 200hp 1968 Chevy Camaro.

I am unsure if this motor has been bored or not, judging from the condition of the cyclinders, I would say that most likely it had been bored very recently.

basically what you would be getting is a long block. It would include the heads, Block. and rotating assembly. (push rods, rockers, misc items included if you want them) The rotating assembly is still in the block and was never removed. So you won't have to deal with bearings. Just replace the freeze plug, throw in a cam and lifters, timing chain, intake, and gaskets and you're rolling.

I am unsure what this thing is worth.. probably quite a bit for a numbers matching resto... but not much to us hot rodders. In any event. I've posted a price as stated in the rules, and I am willing to entertain offers.
