Ain't gonna be here next winter, starting to sell off a bunch of die casts, hobby stuff, etc. on eBay. If you're interested, go to Item #7011569688, if you don't like that one, look at "sellers other items". Bid lots, I wanna get rid of all this stuff that isn't worth moving and buy an aluminum block for the Ranchero. I'm a cripple, so maybe whatever you buy could be a charity write off, too!!!!! (Might want to check with your tax man on that!!)


Eventually all get through all the goodies in the house and be listing a ton of parts and stuff........ Please stay tuned!!!!!

I'll get there Bob, that's just one shelf in the first closet, gonna take me awhile to even get to the garage, and shop, and warehouse goodies!!!!!

Not me Tom, I'm going to Texas. Florida is just getting too dang crowded. Friend of mine just got back from Daytons, told Horror Stories about the traffic. We used to go down there 10 years or so ago for the 500, didn't ever seem to bad then, but Don sez it was terrible this year?????

Going to Texas eh, can't say I blame ya wanting to get outta that cold a** place where you live. Nice country over there but your winters suck big time.

I think we are becoming Snowbirds, my last trip down to Calif. a few weeks ago was about all my wife needed. We took a dip in the outdoor pool at the hotel,,, in February no less, loved it!!!

Hey remember, winter isn't so bad. It gives you atleast six months to get your car ready for the next summer. Just remember that you need a good heat source for your garage. You really can't accomplish anything when it's colder in the garage than outside. Oh it was 10 above here today with an overnight low of -10. and unfortunately only got to work on stuff for a customer in the garage today. But I atleast got to look at one of my cars while I was doing it.

Got that right Larry. I'm quite sure I can handle being called a snowbird, sure have been called a lot worse!!!!

Randy, what's nice about the south is that you don't need the heat source in your garage (at least in central Florida). Now, it might need an A/C unit come July and August, but not a heater.

What leads you to Dayton, Dave? Got family or friends there?

It's a pretty and pleasant area and far enough away from Houston to be peaceful. I used to have a college buddy from Liberty but I lost track of him a long time ago. It could be a nice choice for a guy bent on relocation to a warmer climate. Winters are pretty nice, but believe me, in the summertime, a warmer climate is what you'll get! A hundred degrees and a hundred percent humidity. That never bothered me until I got so damn old and cranky I'd probably bellyache no matter where I lived.

Houston traffic is something to behold. Rush hour madness! The same in the Dallas/Fort Worth area where I live. We moved back here because here is where the jobs are.

San Antonio is historic and interesting, as is Austin. Austin's expensive. Both cities have decent climates.

Keep us advised, and if I can scope out anything for you or otherwise assist you, I'd be glad to do so.

I have family all over Texas, Jim. Dayton, Austin, Laredo, Houston, LaPorte, and probably a few other places I forgot!!!! Listing more stuff today (2nd shelf of the first closet!!) come on, run the flippin' bid up. I figure most of this stuff has been on the closet shelf since I bought it so I'm starting all the auctions at a buck!!!!!!!

Well Dave, let me welcome you to Texas. I think you will like it especially if you have family here. I live in Corpus and it is supposed to be 85* here today. Can you believe it, the last day of February? Anyway, it's not always like this, we used to call this an indian summer when I was a kid. Let me know if I can help ya'll(you need to practice saying "ya'll") with anything, looks like you picked a good time of year to move. It's best to have everything done before July, August. Thanks Aster, I lived in Houston for awhile in the late 70's and been back a bunch visiting. Hi temp here today might hit the 50's!!! See ya in the fall !!!!!
