Ford 289 Block, Heads and Crank

I have a 289 Block, heads and crank that I believe were made in 1966. These were at one time ready to be rebuilt, block bored 30 over and heads rebuilt. Then some idiot let them sit for many years and not they have alot of surface rust. I think that they could still be rebuilt. Would like to get $100 bucks for all the parts. Would consider trades. Let me know if you are interested.

That's the same engine made earlier by Studebaker, isn't it?

    ENGINE

Not to familiar with who made what in the 60's. If you would like #'s of the engine, let me know where to look and I can get them for you.

Nope, totally different motors. By 1965, Studebaker was using small block Chevys. I think he's talking about a 289 Ford.

yeah its most likely a ford 289... same motor studebaker used in the coveted avanti(i have one sitting in my backyard).. is the motor for a 5bolt bellhousing or 6? if its a 6 bolt i'd be down to take it... I've been planning on putting a 289 in my avanti for a while... i have the original supercharger and bracketing for the car, but no motor... and I'm planning on upgrading it from a 3pseed to a 4speed toploader... btw has the crank ever been turned? it'd be nice if you could maybe mic it.... if it has been turned more than 30/30, then i'd just take the block and heads and you can toss the crank
just because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
