yeah its most likely a ford 289... same motor studebaker used in the coveted avanti(i have one sitting in my backyard).. is the motor for a 5bolt bellhousing or 6? if its a 6 bolt i'd be down to take it... I've been planning on putting a 289 in my avanti for a while... i have the original supercharger and bracketing for the car, but no motor... and I'm planning on upgrading it from a 3pseed to a 4speed toploader... btw has the crank ever been turned? it'd be nice if you could maybe mic it.... if it has been turned more than 30/30, then i'd just take the block and heads and you can toss the crankjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
