There you go, guys. Cut it 0.030" and install Keith Black #KB126 pistons (30 cc D-cup) and top it with L31 Vortec heads for a pump-gas friendly 9.1:1 compression ratio. Scoggin-Dickey part #SD8060A, modified for higher lift. Comp Cams XE268H and bingo, street cruiser with stock converter.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

still have the 400 for sale? if so what year is the motor what kind of shape are you talking and where abouts are you?

the block is from a 72 chevelle. It's been hot tanked and checked for cracks. I'm located near lancaster pa.

Still have the 400? I would love to slap it into my 67 firebird. My bird still has the original 6 in it and is beggin me for a V8. If so would you be willing to ship to California.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
