Scott Drake makes new seat covers for the bench seats.... and they were a base option on the 641/2-681/2 mustangs... the same time the 302 was introduced, the bench seat was removed.... not many people got bench seats, seeing that the buckets are much more comfortable.... so i'd say at least keep it on the side
