Complete 289 expensive build
For sale, a complete 289. 30 over TRW's, balanced, shot peened rods, chamfered & radiused crank. Sig Erson cam, 500 lift, 272 dur. Crane roller rockers. Ported heads dual springs, new stock sized stainless valves. 2 intakes both powdercoated, 1 Weiand, and 1 Edelbrock Performer. Edelbrock 600 carb. Chrome timing chain cover, water pump, & steel scattershield. Unylite distributor, (Ram "pink" clutch & throw out bearing all bolted onto the engine). Enlarged oil pan, windage tray and Stainless Steel tri-Y headers. New hi torque starter
The scattershield has been set up for a T-5 trans.
This engine cost about $6500 to get to this stage. It hase never been in a car yet because I bought a completed 428 CJ to use instead. I am asking $3500 for this engine and I will pay for 1 day at my local engine shop for dyno tuning so you can see for yourself what this engine has. on small cars yes. but fat fender cars are pretty much the same in size and weight as the donor car. i found s10 brakes work great on fat fender and pickups. a deuce will just need manual brakes...
