'60's schwitzer Turbo *cheap**NOW WITH PIC*
Its a schwitzer turbo built in the early 60's. It has a small amount of shaft play, so it might need new bearings, and seals which are really cheap to have done. Its one huge turbo, the compressor housing is about 11" in diameter. They are originally from I-6 diesels. I was gonna run it on an aluminum olds v8 I had. sold the motor and no longer need the turbo. $100 shipped.Last edited by gasser; 12-22-2004 at 11:15 AM.

I thought parts would be hard to get also, but the local diesel techs here in portland said they can still rebuild them.

The last couple of weeks have been spent waiting on parts and getting the engine ready to put in the car. I found a manifold (turned out the guy I bought the center sump oil pan from had one). It’s...
