Question of the month! What color?
I had just picked up a very clean 1968 Charger 47k miles non matching 440,So I dont think it's a big deal to change the color, even to a non '68 color, such as Sublime. Any comments on my color dilemma?

While lime green happens to be my favorite mopar color next to plum crazy purple, its your car and you should do with it what you want.
Stevo.
It depends on what you want to do with the car. If you want to resell it for a profit stay with the original color. If you want to keep it and have fun with it paint it whatever color you like.
I thought sublime was a porn site.
AL
Good asnwers! In fact the car is not being restored for profit although someday may be up for sale, The original color is that seafoam green color not sure of the name but its kinda ugly, not as cool as the sublime color, Im just curious how bad it may hurt the resale, 'The cars value should be around $16-$18000 all original including the original ugly paint, I cant belive it would hurt much in resale if its not original color yet a better more popular color. I am also wondering how i should do the hood, flat/green etc...
It will hurt the value to a person who want's an all origional car but to the avrage buyer, I don't think they care.
Resale value shouldn't be affected very much by a non-original color. Especially on a musclecar. A brighter paint job will attract more potential buyers. If they want a more conservative color they can repaint it or keep on looking. Your pleasure should take priority over the attitude of the next owner.
If I'm thinking of the right color I think they had a flat black hood on the Cudas and Chargers that they used it on.

Yes I agree with Al, make the car yours by changing to the color in which you pick and like. And yes Al I do know that chargers and Cuda's had flat black hoods on most green and yellow cars, some Cuda's that were yellow had flat black strip like lines of flat black angeling up to the rear quarters, I belive this was a higer up package.
