finally under primer need advice (pics)

I finally got my 29 under primer.. 3 coats on entire car 6 on the roof... I used spi epoxy... I have a couple of drips along the drip rail on the passenger side... (was making sure I got he primer down in the drip rails but made a few drips) Is there away to get these out where I don't need to spray any more epoxy? I plan on wet sanding with a soft block and 400 before paint... I also have some very faint sanding marks I was told they would dissapear with the wet sanding...

I think the painters among us like Jay will have great ideas, but my suggestion would be to lightly sand out the runs, then block/ scuff the rest of the car and shoot some hi build primer on top so you have some depth to block sand smooth. It will also fill even 80 grit sanding marks that regular epoxy has trouble filling.

Now to hear from people who really know painting.

If you do the hi fill and block besure to seal before finish coats

Epoxy isn't very good for finishing the surface for paint. I would shoot at least two coats of urethane primer imidiately after the epoxy, then dust it with a guide coat for your block sanding. If you wait too long you will have to sand the epoxy before repriming.

really .. I was told the the spi epoxy is great and is also a high build primer , it covers 80 scratches in 2-3 coats... that is what the persone I talked to when I bought it told me. then I was told by spi to wet sand with 400 then reduce the epoxy by 25% shoot one coat as a sealer wait about an hour shoot base was I told wrong by spi?

I should qualify my answers.

I have no experience with SPI products. I would listen to them first, or someone who uses their paint daily.

My only experience with epoxy primer is PPG. From everything I have heard, it's used for it's good adhesion, and ability to seal out moisture. If the SPI is formulated in a way to provide those things, ...and can also be used as a "primer/filler", good for them.
