I'm with ya on that. I'm gonna scuff everywhere before I apply the Lizard skin and just before I paint the interior. I figured that this will keep it from rusting in the mean time. I might do the whole exterior soon as well, I'm starting to see a couple of my hand prints on the raw metal.

I'm not looking forward to all the taping I'm gonna have to do before the Lizard splatter starts, I hear it's a bear to get off.
