im going to use a BC/CC paint, the car is apart, should i paint the door jambs, dash, firewall, and uderhood and trunk with the bc/cc or should i use a 1 stage? i dont PLAN on buffing the firewall or dash, but i do plan on buffing the car.

If you are painting the dash, firewall, jambs etc the same color, a very few more hours of hand rubbing gets the same "consistancy" to everything, especially if you are using BC/CC. Even if you use single stage, and if you can get the same color, it is still best to wet sand and buff. The color rendition and possible orange peel will need to be contiguous in texture to look the best.Quote:

A bit of a old thread I know but here is my take... Use a cheaper (middle grade) base coat for these and use a bc/cc. You will most likely have to sand and buff a little bit I'm sure.
