Unrelated to cars, but have a question.
I would like to make some art paintings. I,m going to use acrylic art paints. Instead of useing canvas. I,m going to use sheet aluminum for a painting surface. I,m going to ruffup the smooth aluminum with a DA sander. I,m going to use a primer. My question is this. What kind of primer should I use? Are thier acrylic base primers? Or any type of primer that would be compatable with the acrylic paint? I don,t know to much about paints. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks, John.John

If you rough up the surface with a DA, you should not have to worry about using a primer as the acrylic paint will "bite" into the surface just like when you use a decent piece of canvas.Instead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.
Dammit, another good ol boy gone. Condolence to the family. RIP Mike
