One of my own personal favourites---This is an early thirties Plymouth that I painted for a friend of mine, about 18 years ago. The car was painted black, then flamed, outside his garage with a plastic tarp stretched over it to keep bugs from falling out of the trees into the wet paint. Turned out awesome---God I was thin then

Got a '33 Plymouth 2-door across the street from my house. He built it when non-Fords weren't popular......about 35 years ago! He's been driving it ever since. :-)

Here are the two I think you meant. The '37's style reminds me of some of the Foose 2-tones, with a "focal detail" added.Quote:

Nice clean jobs.
Those are it! there is an up and coming car from them that I like even more than those two. As far as the "classic" black paint jobs, I would have to say that black is more of a test to the body guy, i think black is one of the easiest colors to spray. Just my opion! but I do love black, and always will
I personally like a dark color as part of a design, since they seem to have more "value", and are also more "sinister".
What I was actually hoping for, was to find out what makes one single car's paint scheme especially memorable to you, which would have to include more than a just one solid color. There have probably been more cars painted black, or white, than any other colors.
I have a lot of elements that I think help to create a memorable design, but I am curious to see what others find especially impressive in "that one special paint job"!
I WOULD HAVE TO THINK IT IS RED ON HOTRODS AS MOST PAINTED COLOR?Quote:

My comment about black and white was, of course, on all cars, not just rods. The real point was that you can't just pick a color as the "single most memorable paint job".
kid at school has the true fire stuff on his ranger. nowhere near that much but it still looks sickQuote:
