I don't have much imagination on paint. Spray Tech gave me the complete run down some time ago for the paint on my Ranchero, should it ever get to that stage. My favorite is still Blue with White stripes... Oh yeah, got to get one of these some day for ME!!!!!!
An original or a kit? :-)~ LOL!
I think 5 were originally made......but then my memory has let me down sometimes.
Doubt seriously it would be an original, unless maybe I win the lottery!!!! I would like to buy just the body, then build my own tubular chassis.... Not a doubt in my mind what the color would be though. Just like the pic I posted!!!!!!Quote:

I've never been very creative or imaganitive on paint jobs.... Over the years all my Mustang projects have ended up Blue with White stripes, or Cobalt Blue with Silver stripes.... Occasionally I got really "creative" and used a different basecoat under the blue, but that's about it.....:LOL: :LOL:
At least you know what you like!
Some of my customers don't have a clear vision of what they want.......just that I am supposed to produce it! :-)~

The car was painted black, then flamed, outside his garage with a plastic tarp stretched over it to keep bugs from falling out of the trees into the wet paint. Got a '33 Plymouth 2-door across the street from my house. He built it when non-Fords weren't popular......about 35 years ago! He's been driving it ever since. :-)

Those are it! there is an up and coming car from them that I like even more than those two. As far as the "classic" black paint jobs, I would have to say that black is more of a test to the body guy, i think black is one of the easiest colors to spray. Just my opion! but I do love black, and always will
I personally like a dark color as part of a design, since they seem to have more "value", and are also more "sinister".
What I was actually hoping for, was to find out what makes one single car's paint scheme especially memorable to you, which would have to include more than a just one solid color. There have probably been more cars painted black, or white, than any other colors.
I have a lot of elements that I think help to create a memorable design, but I am curious to see what others find especially impressive in "that one special paint job"!

On hot rods, "historically", it's probably red, but, by far, it seems flat black is the color being used most today on those.
My comment about black and white was, of course, on all cars, not just rods. The real point was that you can't just pick a color as the "single most memorable paint job".
