glazing putty help

I bought red oxide Glazing putty ( red oxide ) b4 I bought primer, and I bought martin senour acrylic primer and reducer. I didn't realize it b4 but the glazing putty is a laquer base is this going to hurt anything?

If you use urethane paint, you cannot use lacquer putty. It will blister the paint. You have to use a putty designed for urethane, usually a two-part.

It should work okay with acrylic enamel.

Don't use the glazing putty in a tube, the new two part glazing is a poly filler, self leveling, sands easy and doesn't shrink like the glob it and sand it stuff.....

the blue stuff? when I asked the counter kid at Napa for finish glaze, that is what he gave me so I assumed that was all they had, would they have it? I now do not trust that retarded counter kid because when I asked for primer, he looked dumbfounded and was looking at the tints and then says " We Don't Sell Primer ". I got the primer/ reducer at a diffrent Napa, 1 that I 100% trust. the paint guy at the Napa I first went to is awsome to work with but he was out to lunch at that time.

It's a two part Matt, mixes with the same hardner as filler. I buy it at NAPA sometimes when we run out, usually get it from our paint supplier. Goes for about $15.00 and lasts a long time.... Comes in a plastic resealable tube.

yes use the two part putty if you have to. but try not to use this stuff instead of body filler

I just got a couple of lows that I have to levlel up. 1 is by my gas filler door where the bondo was feathered in twords it.

just try to not use it in stead of filler i work at a shop if you use it you were out the door that was the old lacquer stuff. i like not to have to many substraits under the primer some the thinners will work on them diffrent fillers old paint etc
