Painting help needed
I want to air brush a new color over my chevrolet name on my homemade tailgate but I don't know how to go about masking it off. If I use masking tape I won't be able to do the curves in C and other letters. If I don't get the curves just right, it will look like crap when I air brush them. Any suggestions?Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

what about that pin stripe tape, you could build a few layers outward, then you could use 3M green auto masking tape. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

If you use the 3M 1/8 green paper tape, you can get it to turn some pretty tight corners. If not, stick some larger tape, like 3/4, on a piece of glass, and use an Xacto knife, or razor blade to trace around an object, like a dime, or smaller. Use these cut curves to finish masking your letters.
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
