This patch, my brother beat out of some 12ga sheet steel that I cut from the old MB 240D I junked out, it came out good, I pop rivited it in place, but there is still a peice missing, it originally went down, then out, my brother could not recreate this. what can I do? pic of affected area below
can you give us a shot from a different angel??

Fiberglass is one answer. I think I'd try to take a pc. of metal an old door or hood are good to use. If you don't have a leather bag filled with sand a old army buffle bag with sand can be used with a hammer to form the pc. Or go out in the yard and just beat it into the ground. Get it close then use a dolly and hammer. Don't try to bend it all at once it takes time . Once close weld it in and finish with bondo or fiberglass. The less filler you use the better.
Thanks guys. I'll try the sand bag trick to form it, if that dosn't work I have some fiberglass supplies left over that I can use.
One good product to use if you can't get it with metal is Fuzor! Better than glass, resin and matting.
I was gonna say bog it, buy looking at the area surrounding it, I would try to build up a metal armature first to give it some strength, then put down the fibreglass or bondi
that's actully what I did, I beat the metal until the gap was almost closed, then got some fiberglass cloth and resin and put it in, then bondo'd overtop.
