I am late on this one but like the others said. No need to wax, if anything then just polish and be done with it.

I work for Meguairs and I tell all customers with new paint they should wait at least 2 months this could be longer depending on where the car is stored and the climate you live in.
You can how ever polish it and also use detailers.
I would suggest #7 show car polish to keep a nice luster and shine then either Quick detailer ( you can get this at Wal-Mart Advanced and others) Final inspection or what I use called last touch. These items you siply spray onand wipe off. They will keep a shine and cut down washing the car buy taking off duct and light bug remains.
As far as wax when it is time ALL paint ( with the exception of Nano....but not many peopl euse it or can afford it for now) will be harmed by UV lighting over time along with bird droppings, acid rain and such. The wax will give you protection from this .Polish simply brings out and maitains the shine.
