I can suggest two things that might help you by showing you what you want, or don't. The first is something that I did in painting and doing the flames on my car. I contracted with an artist that specialized in doing renditions of cars. I gave him the colors of what I wanted my car painted, and some idea of how the flames would be. He did one or two versions, we talked and exchanged info and he did three more. It told me what I wanted color wise, and in my case, what I didn't want on flames. It cost about $350, and with what paint and a flame job cost today it was good money spent. The second thing is what I saw at SEMA last year. House of Colors had a computer program that would show a picture of your car, what it would look like painted with any of their colors, and could add scallops, flames, and other graphics. This is a program that they use for customers and you might contact them to see if they could help you. Don't know cost on this one. You have probably seen some look you like and maybe one of these could help you.
I like metal flake, high poly paints, flames are cool, pintstiping is cool. I DONT like pastels, they make me feel feminen. I want something that looks good with chrome
You need to decide what type of look your going for, do you want a crazy paint job with lots of detail or are you looking for a simple 1 or 2 color paint job that has a lot of class.
Give some info on what your looking for.
Ill throw a idea out and we will see what everyone thinks, how about a nice black base with racing stripes, you could do a gold stripe with gold flake over it, or you could do the stripes in very heavy flake over the black...
You could change the colors around, but thats one idea.
Or you could chome the entire thing from top to bottom (our company would be a good choice for that. hehe)
What are you looking for in a paint job?

I would say sell that camero and get a 1978- 1981 camero as I belive the gen 3's are 2 boxy but, you probably know what your doing to make it look good so, the colors I would paint it are Blue fading to a red or a lighter blue horizontily but angeling to the rear of the car and then, put some flames on the side. Post pics when ur done so we can see a nice gen 3 camero. My friend has an 83 Berlinneta that's white.
Oh by the way, I have a question myself. Do you think, if I accent my Benz interior with blue that I could paint the car itself blue and have it look right? If anybody does not know, my interior is red with a black dash.
I have been doing paint ideas for my own projects as well as for others by finding a pic of the car I need to work with, then whiting out the pic until I get a basic "coloring book" outline. Then I print out a bunch of 'em, color them with colored pencils, then scan them and clean up the color a little. This is an idea for my new Camaro Hobby Stock that I'm building.
OOPPSS! Sorry the image is so large:o
Here's another idea for my Camaro

I often do the same thing, its hard to show other people a idea if its only in your head.
