Since I don't know how sensitive it is, I'd use 360. If you primer it, you can use something a little more course.
I like to use the roughest grit I can, in order to get maximum adhesion, and it makes the sanding faster and easier.
Some guys recommend finer grits, but after 40 years of doing this $#i+, I don't like for the sanding to take any longer than necessary. Also heavier grits will flatten the surface better.Last edited by HOTRODPAINT; 01-29-2006 at 05:41 PM.
