I have used their epoxy for the last three years and really like it . Never used their clear but I have heard it buffs nice. One thing that impressed me is that I have emailed them several times and the owner Barry Kives always responds quickly , even once on Sunday. Darin

well i've tried a few things and so far so good... no complaints yet.. what' really cool is after you get finished clearing you let the overspray get out of the room then turn fan off... saves my heat bill.. primer sprays and sands nice..

    hey mopar,
have you tried the fast drying clears by PPG ?
Try the DC 3000 or the DC4000 . They mix 4 parts clear , to one part catalyst , no reducers needed .

I tried it the other day , and liked it , 10 minutes at 140 , let cool for 15 minutes and buff . Beings you dont have a heat makeup booth and in a cold environment might be right up your alley . Worth a try .

I post on hotrodders.com a bit, and barry K is a member there. I recognize your name from that site mopar. spi gets good reviews on the site. I have yet to try any of there stuff, but probably will be when things warm up a bit around here. Plan on trying the epoxy primer for sure, since I've switched to omni epoxy when dp was no longer available and changed to dplf. I am trying to see if there are any jobbers near by at all so it could be picked up instead of ordering and getting it shipped.

yeah now that you mention it, i do remember seeing your name on the hotrodders site.. that's how i originally found the SPI. everyone there praises it, I was just curious if anyone here has used it or not..
Yeah the Dp and DP "lead-free" are definetely different animals..lol.. but just finished spraying another ride with the SPI clear.. I'm definetely happy with this stuff.. no complaints yet.. hope it stays that way.. only time will tell.. my buddy started using it in his shop, and is liking it and another in a rod shop about 5 min from me is just starting to use it.. looks like they are going to use it all when they run out.. so it must be good, everyone i let try it is now starting to use it..lol... If ya wanna drive to michigan, i'll hook ya up..lol... I dont' have a prob shipping but i'm not sure how hazzardous shipping works..
