Best way to go about painting suspension parts?????

I am ready to paint my front suspension, is there tricks of the trade to paint the tie-rod ends and not get paint on the grease boot, or just paint over it, what kind of paint compatible to the rubber? I would perfer not to paint the boot. Any tricks or gadgets?

Hi Mike, to not get paint on the parts you dont want painted you need to mask the areas. The prep of the surface will give you the best paint job. Clean all oil and grease off really well, remove anything that you dont want painted, and mask the rest.

I've been quite pleased with using the "liquid masking" gell on some components of small parts (threads, grease boots, etc.)

I usually just use blue painters tape to mask parts.It comes off easily too.
