Millenium or Slingshot Yellow
Are these two the same color? If not what are the paint codes for each?
How difficult to paint is Millenium Yellow? Is it a Tri-Coat system?
Thanks,

By the way, checked autocolorlibrary.com and they just use general name. But I did find millenium yellow code as 79U, but can't find slingshot.

Slingshot Yellow is code 79U. Brian Rupnow painted his roadster pickup in this color.

Well It looks like Millenium and Slingshot are the same yellow. And being a three part paint scheme are very unforgiving according to Brian.
Does anyone have another yellow paint recommendation. I'm looking for a very bright yellow. But I need it to be bit forgiving. It has to be a PPG color, cause thats the only paint available here. Looked at zinc yellow, and it seems to be aa little whitish. Anyway, lookin for recommendations.
Thanks,Scott

The two yellows I use a lot are the Ford Mustang
"Chrome Yellow" which is very bold, and the Dodge Viper "Dandelion", which is a bright and very clean yellow, which I personally like better.

Thanks,
Look at the 70's VW yellow , I think its called sunshine yellow , I shot a Minx Manx Dune buggy with it , and man was it bright , and the color was real clean, no muddy look like some yellows have .
Spray
P.S. I sprayed PPG's DCC single stage on it , I dont know if it can be mixed as a BC/CC . And the coverage was good too !

That looks real nice? I've forgotten how good Competiton Yellow looked.
By the way, the reason I'm asking for suggestions is that here in Saudi, yellow was banned for all cars except taxis. Mine will be one of the first real cars to be yellow. The dealers don't even sell yellow cars yet, so I can't look around for a color I like.
Thanks,Scott

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
