    Question flat black paint!!

     



    i know i've been obsessing with the paint lately, but i was wondering if anyone had any pics of cars/trucks with flat black paint jobs...i need a fair idea of what it looks like b4 i paint my 88 chevy pickup, some prices on the paint jobs would be nice too

    It'll look like it does now except it will be flat black.....Shouldn't be hard to "see" a paint job that plain with no shine. As far as what it would cost, very difficult to say without seeing the truck and knowing how much work there is to do on it. Probably someplace between $150.00 and $15,000.00.

    I think it'll look like a primered truck that needs a paint job.
    Don't expect to hear "nice paint job". Most comments will be "what color are you going to paint it".
    If your paint is in good shape pinstriping would be a better idea. If your truck's a p.o.s. the flat black will hide a lot and make it look better. Three or four spray cans and a roll of masking tape should do the trick. Estimate: $10 to $15

    I hear " nice paint job" all the time with mine But it isn't really on the road again yet. but you do get the guys that say "hey, i see you got your truck in primer"

    satin black done correctly is a thing of beauty. I hear people comment about great look or even what color are you gonna paint it when its done. I like any paint applied right. To each his own.

    Look for a magazine called Ol' Skool Rodz
    They have lots of flat/satin black cars in there.
    It comes out bi-monthly.
