There was also a very dark reddish color on the caddys called "Black Cherry". I've used it on a few jobs, and it looks pretty good.

yea ive heard about that...now that i think about it, black with a red "scent" would look so sweet too...grrr too many ideas!
can i get a vote on what you think would look better guys?
Also, if i were wanting to learn to paint, where would be the best place to start?
Local community college. They have just certificates for just painting and that way you dont have to go through all that frame, structural and non struct. classes.
Either that or do what all these good geezers that KNOW HOW to paint did. They didn't have schools back then, they just bought some paint, a gun that they had no clue about really (they didn't have internet, etc to ask) and just start trying to paint. Mess with the air flow, get good at gun control and there you go. That way will save you time and money instead of the school. Haven't you ever noticed that it's always the hard working people that never went to school that do all the AWSOME paint jobs? They didn't read out of books, etc.
Now don't get me wrong I am not trying to say the schooling is a bad idea because I am going to college on August 15th for Auto Body but everything I will learn is just from trial and error really, not reading out of a book.
Oh also check out the book called "How To Paint Your Car". It has the orangish red Bel Air on the front and is a good book. Just go to a local library if you don't want to buy it and read the whole thing. It will help you understand things more, etc. But after practice before you try painting a car or something, just because you read that book don't mean you know how to paint a car if you get what I mean. ;)
