It needs to be scuffed and recoated with a couple of coats of the DBC base, there is a possiable chance of no adhesion of the clear to base , and clear may peal off . But you might have alright luck just clearing it , as the suns UV rays wont be attacking it like an outside panel.

But if it was me I would scuff and spray 2 coats of base , then let flash and shoot your clear !
