You could always move the compressor into the house.... (Kitchen Laundry Room) wherever ya got 220v....

A 15 amp outlet is generally limited to about 12 amps continuous duty, and at 120 volts that's only 1440 watts, which is just under 2 HP. The legally honest lie about the power is derived from the flywheel effect of the motor under stalling conditions from top speed to zero, which has absolutely nothing to do with its ability to run a compressor"
