what should i do??
when i bought my duster someone had painted the engine bay black when the car was blue. i want to repaint the engine bay to the same color blue as the car, but i have two problems. the paint isnt a factory color, it is a custom dark blue. how would i match that color? and what should i use to paint it with?...spray gun or spray can?

klem,
If you have a lopcal PPG jobber , call them and see if they have Profit. Its a high Tech hand held computer that is held tight against the painted surface and it will read the color and make a formula , and it can be mixed in base clear/ or single stage, it might not be a dead on match , but they should be able to color tint it to get it real close.
Spray

Some of the NAPA's have a Profit on hand also.......only way to fly.

Or do like I did go down to a good car parts dealer that has a paint section and borrow thier paint chip book that matches your paint. I did this with my 42 and it matched perfectly. Some of thies books they have, have a hole in the middle of the paint sample and you can put it up to your paint and match it that way.

also, remember that if the car is in a garage, the lights will cast a green tint so, check outside on a sunny day.
